  • Read what your reps said on the floor

    When a rep votes on a bill, they often speak on the floor explaining their position. Today those speeches sit on Congress.gov in dense procedural HTML that's hard to parse. The candidate: pull the speeches, highlight the substantive passages, and surface them next to the vote. Closes the most-asked question in user testing — "why did my rep vote that way?"

  • Track budget hearings, not just votes

    For senators on Appropriations and Budget committees, most of the real work is months of hearings before any bill exists — questioning agency heads, shaping funding priorities, signaling positions. A voting record alone misses 80% of what those reps actually do. The candidate: ingest committee hearings, witness testimony, and presiding-senator data; surface remarks by senator with topic tags.

  • Ask follow-up questions

    Today every question is a fresh start. The candidate: keep the conversation going. Ask "and what about working families?" without re-typing your district or restating context. Same evidence-only posture, just with memory of what you've already discussed.

  • State legislatures

    Many of the policies that affect you most directly — abortion access, school curricula, housing rules, voting laws — are decided at the state level. The candidate: start with one or two states, treat state reps and senators as first-class, and grow from there.

  • Federal agency rules

    Agencies like the EPA, HHS, and Labor write rules that affect millions of people without a vote in Congress. The candidate: track proposed and final agency rules, who supports them, and which of your reps weighed in during the comment period.
