Sponsored by Eric Schmitt (R)
A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of the Treasury relating to "Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds".
Would have overturned a Treasury rule on how states can count COVID-19 relief money as committed.
Tradeoff
Would have blocked a rule letting states count reporting and audit work as committed funds by December 31, 2024. Would have kept the original deadline for committing State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) in place.
