Sponsored by Roger Marshall (R)
A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Food and Nutrition Service relating to "Application of Bostock v. Clayton County to Program Discrimination Complaint Processing-Policy Update".
Would have overturned a food program rule that treats gender identity and sexual orientation bias as sex discrimination.
Tradeoff
Would have voided a 2022 Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) policy update that applies the Bostock ruling to food programs. Would have stopped states and program operators from treating these complaints as sex discrimination cases.
