Tribal Trust Land Homeownership Act of 2023

Would have set review deadlines for federal home loan paperwork on tribal trust land.

Tradeoff

Would have required the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to meet 10- to 30-day deadlines on home loan paperwork. Would have also created a Realty Ombudsman to track delays and take complaints.
