A bill to amend the Act of June 22, 1948.

Would have changed how federal payments to Minnesota counties near the Boundary Waters are calculated.

Tradeoff

Would have based annual payments on the highest appraised value of the land, including historical values. Would have replaced the current method, which uses only the most recent appraisal every ten years.
