MORE American Fuel Act of 2026

Speeds up licensing for uranium enrichment facilities by consolidating the hearing process.

Tradeoff

Allows companies to begin building uranium enrichment plants before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issues an operating license, at the builder's own risk. Also requires the commission to hold a single combined hearing instead of separate proceedings.
