Land Manager Housing and Workforce Improvement Act of 2024

Would have let Interior and build workforce housing for park, forest, and wildlife-refuge employees, and hire local residents faster.

Tradeoff

Would have let federal land agencies build and lease employee housing, including on up to 20 acres near national parks. Would have also let Forest Service permits for workforce housing run up to 50 years.
