Justice for Jana Elementary Act of 2023

Would have required federal cleanup of Jana Elementary School and created a fund to help schools near radioactive sites.

Tradeoff

Would have ordered the Army Corps of Engineers to clean Jana Elementary School to background radiation levels. Would have also created a fund for schools that paid to test for radioactive contamination.
