VA Medicinal Cannabis Research Act of 2023

Would have required VA to study cannabis effects on veterans with PTSD or chronic pain.

Tradeoff

Would have required an 18-month VA study of cannabis use among veterans with PTSD or chronic pain. Would have allowed later clinical trials only if VA found it could run them safely.
