250th Anniversary of the United States Marine Corps Commemorative Coin Act

Would have had the Treasury mint 250th-anniversary Marine Corps coins, with sale surcharges going to a Marine Corps heritage fund.

Tradeoff

Would have raised money for the Marine Corps Heritage Center through coin surcharges. Buyers would have paid $35, $10, or $5 extra per coin, on top of face value and costs.
