Miccosukee Reserved Area Amendments Act
Would have added Osceola Camp in Everglades National Park to the Miccosukee Reserved Area and required flood protection.
Tradeoff
Would have expanded the Miccosukee Reserved Area to cover Osceola Camp, part of Everglades National Park. Would have authorized up to $14 million total for flood protection there.
What's in it
Authorizes up to $14 million in for flood protection of the Osceola Camp structures; CBO estimates no effect on direct spending or revenues.
The $14 million is a cap on what Congress may appropriate for flood protection at the Osceola Camp, not a figure CBO projects will be spent.
The Senate passed this bill by on December 12, 2024. The House never voted on it before the 118th Congress ended, so the bill expired.
