Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act of 2023
Would have extended federal payments to rural schools and counties through 2026.
Tradeoff
Would have extended Secure Rural Schools payments to states and counties through the 2026 federal budget year. Would have let regional foresters in every state appoint advisory committee members.
