National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026
Authorizes defense spending and military operations for 2026, including new ships and aircraft.
Tradeoff
Authorizes defense for weapons, personnel, and operations. Also includes provisions on diversity policies, biotech strategy, and coast guard functions.
What's in it
Section 1564 would increase the deficit by an insignificant amount.
The federal cost to implement this provision is negligible; the provision primarily affirms DoD's existing authority to manage spectrum for national defense purposes rather than creating a new federal spending program or significantly altering federal revenues.
