Sponsored by Gary C. Peters (D)
National Manufacturing Advisory Council for the 21st Century Act
Would have created a Commerce Department advisory council on manufacturing that reports to Congress every year.
Tradeoff
Would have set up a federal advisory council to recommend manufacturing policy and job-training ideas. The bill adds no new federal money, and the council would end five years after its first meeting.
