Indian Health Service Emergency Claims Parity Act
Extends the emergency care notification window for Indian Health Service patients from 72 hours to 15 days.
Tradeoff
Gives Native American patients more time to report emergency care received outside IHS facilities to qualify for payment. Does not apply to elderly or disabled patients, who keep the current 30-day deadline.
