Federal Register Modernization Act of 2024
Changes federal law so the Federal Register is "published," not "printed," and adds an emergency backup method.
Tradeoff
Drops the requirement that agencies send duplicate or certified copies of documents for publication. Lets the Office of the Federal Register use another method if the Government Publishing Office (GPO) cannot publish.
