Fix Our Forests Act
Would have sped up wildfire-risk forest projects on federal land by limiting environmental reviews and lawsuits.
Tradeoff
Would have sped up forest-thinning projects by exempting some work from National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review. Would have limited species-protection consultations and court remedies that can slow those projects.
