Sponsored by Jennifer A. Kiggans (R)
To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to add a Medicaid State plan requirement with respect to the determination of residency of certain individuals serving in the Armed Forces.
Would have kept military families' home-care coverage and waitlist spots when they move to another state, starting in 2028.
Tradeoff
Would have required states to keep home- and community-based care for active-duty families who move temporarily. States would have had to cover that care even while the family lived elsewhere.
