Sponsored by Michael C. Burgess (R)
Dr. Michael C. Burgess Preventive Health Savings Act
Would have required the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to estimate whether preventive health care saves federal money after 10 years.
Tradeoff
Would have let Congress ask CBO to score preventive health savings beyond the usual 10-year window. Those estimates would be supplementary and could not be used for budget enforcement.
