Sponsored by Tim Burchett (R)
To require a strategy to oppose financial or material support by foreign countries to the Taliban, and for other purposes.
Would have required the State Department to build a strategy against foreign support for the Taliban.
Tradeoff
Would have let the U.S. use foreign aid to pressure countries that back the Taliban. Would also have required recurring reports to Congress on Afghanistan cash aid and the Afghan Fund.
