Dalles Watershed Development Act
Transfers about 150 acres of National Forest land in Oregon to the City of The Dalles for water supply.
Tradeoff
The city gets federal forest land for free to develop its water system. The city must pay survey and conveyance costs, and the land reverts to the US if used for non-public purposes.
What's in it
No effect on the federal budget over any time window.
This is a land transfer with zero federal cost because the city pays all conveyance expenses and the land generates no current federal revenue—the bill simply authorizes the Forest Service to transfer the property subject to the city's compliance with existing rights and public-use requirements.
