Sponsored by David Kustoff (R)
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to terminate the tax-exempt status of terrorist supporting organizations.
Would have stripped tax-exempt status from groups that gave material support to terrorist organizations.
Tradeoff
Would have let Treasury strip tax-exempt status from groups that gave terrorist groups more than minimal aid. Would have given those groups 90 days to respond before any designation took effect.
