Aviation Supply Chain Safety and Security Digitization Act of 2025
Orders a study on digital documentation in aviation supply chains to reduce counterfeit parts.
Tradeoff
Requires the GAO to study barriers to digital records in aviation and recommend changes. The Department of Transportation must respond within 120 days.
What's in it
Costs less than $500,000 over the 2026-2030 period for federal reporting requirements.
The $500,000 is the federal cost to produce a report and departmental response — the bill's actual impact is on aviation supply chain companies to comply with any resulting recommendations about digital documentation and parts verification.
