Weather Act Reauthorization Act of 2023
Would have renewed federal weather research and forecasting programs through 2028.
Tradeoff
Would have authorized about $155 million in 2024, rising to about $161 million in 2028, for NOAA weather research. Would also have set up pilot programs that buy private weather data.
