Restoring American Energy Dominance Act
Would have required the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to withdraw a proposed oil and gas leasing rule.
Tradeoff
Would have stopped a proposed rule that changes oil and gas leasing on public lands. Would also have barred the agency from finalizing any substantially similar rule.
What's in it
The House passed this 216-200 on March 20, 2024, after a motion to send it back to committee failed 204-211. The Senate never voted on it before the 118th Congress ended, so the bill expired.
