Eastern Band of Cherokee Historic Lands Reacquisition Act

Would have put Tennessee Valley Authority lands with the Sequoyah Museum and Chota and Tanasi memorials into federal trust for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Tradeoff

Would have moved about 85 acres of Tennessee Valley Authority land into trust for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. TVA would keep rights to flood parts of the land and to be paid for lost hydropower.
