Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act of 2023
Would have expanded VA home care and caregiver programs and extended a housing loan fee rate through 2032.
Tradeoff
Would have raised the VA's cap on home care costs from 65% to 100% of nursing home costs. Would have let the VA go above that cap for veterans with ALS or spinal cord injuries.
