Community Bank Deposit Access Act of 2025
Lets small banks accept certain customer deposits without stricter oversight rules.
Tradeoff
Small banks under $10 billion in assets can hold more custodial deposits (retirement and trust accounts) without triggering brokered-deposit rules. Banks that use this exception must stay well-capitalized or face interest-rate caps on those deposits.
