Modernizing the Acquisition of Cybersecurity Experts Act of 2023

Would have barred federal agencies from requiring degrees for most cybersecurity jobs unless state or local law requires them.

Tradeoff

Would have limited degree requirements for federal cybersecurity jobs to cases where law requires them. Would also have required the Office of Personnel Management to publish yearly education data.
