Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2024

Would have funded the Department of Defense (DOD) for 2024, the year ending September 30, 2024.

Tradeoff

Would have set aside federal money for military pay, weapons, and research in 2024. Would also have let the Pentagon move up to $6 billion between accounts, with notice to Congress.

The House passed this 218-210 on September 28, 2023, after rejecting a 210-218. The Senate never voted on it before the Congress ended, so the bill expired.
