What's in it

See official bill text

The number on this bill, 3935, started out as a different bill: the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act. That entire text was removed and replaced with the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, which is the text that was voted on. The official record now files it under the new name too.

The House passed this bill's original text — the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act — in Jul 2023, before the text was replaced. That vote was not a vote on the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024.

The House passed the original version 351-69 on July 20, 2023. The Senate moved to the bill in September 2023 and again in May 2024, advancing it 77-19 and 89-10. The Senate then replaced the original text with the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024. The Senate passed that replacement 88-4 on May 9, 2024. The House passed the Senate version 387-26 on May 15, 2024.
