Solidify Iran Sanctions Act of 2023
Would have made permanent the requirement to sanction people tied to Iran's energy sector and weapons programs.
Tradeoff
Would have removed the expiration date from a 1996 Iran sanctions law. Sanctions would have continued with no end date for Iran's energy sector and weapons programs.
