Sea Turtle Rescue Assistance and Rehabilitation Act of 2023
Would have created federal grants to help rescue and rehabilitate stranded sea turtles.
Tradeoff
Would have set up grants of up to $150,000 a year through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for sea turtle rescue. Grant recipients would have had to cover at least half of project costs themselves.
