Protecting America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve from China Act
Would have barred the government from selling emergency oil reserves to China or Chinese-controlled companies.
Tradeoff
Would have blocked emergency oil sales to China and to companies under Chinese Communist Party influence. Would have required buyers to promise the oil would not be exported to China.
