Women Veterans Cancer Care Coordination Act
Requires VA to hire cancer care coordinators in each regional network for women veterans.
Tradeoff
Adds staff to coordinate breast and gynecologic cancer care for eligible women veterans. No offsetting cuts or funding figures are specified in the bill.
What's in it
Adds $5 million to the deficit over 2025-2030, then saves $30 million over the full 2025-2035 period due to a pension payment limitation expiring in 2032.
The bill roughly $2-3 million annually to fund VA care coordinators for women veterans with cancer, with the net cost varying over time due to a separate provision that reduces certain pension payments beginning in 2032.
