WOSB Accountability Act
Requires federal agencies to count only officially certified women-owned small businesses toward contracting goals.
Tradeoff
Tightens which women-owned small businesses count toward federal procurement targets by excluding self-certified firms. Temporarily includes self-certified businesses that have filed for official certification while their applications are pending.
What's in it
Costs less than $500,000 over the 2025-2030 period.
The $500,000 is the federal cost to update SBA regulations and produce quarterly reports—the policy's real impact is on women-owned small businesses that self-certify, which will be excluded from federal contracting goal counts.
