Deploying American Blockchains Act of 2025
Creates a Commerce Department program to advance U.S. blockchain technology leadership and competitiveness.
Tradeoff
Establishes a Blockchain Deployment Program within Commerce to develop policies and best practices for blockchain use. The program terminates after 7 years and does not require private companies to participate.
What's in it
Adds $10 million over 5 years (2025-2029) for the Blockchain Deployment Program within the Department of Commerce.
This $10 million funds a new federal office within Commerce to coordinate U.S. blockchain policy, conduct research on federal agency applications, and liaise with industry—it does not subsidize private blockchain companies or create an entitlement program.
