Connecting Small Businesses with Career and Technical Education Graduates Act of 2025
Requires business development centers to connect small businesses with career and technical education graduates.
Tradeoff
Expands the services Small Business Development Centers and Women's Business Centers must provide to include linking employers with career and technical education students and graduates.
What's in it
Costs less than $500,000 over 2025-2030 to implement information-sharing requirements.
The $500,000 figure is only the federal administrative cost to enforce the information-sharing requirement — the policy's real impact is on SBDCs and WBCs, which must add new outreach activities to their existing operations at minimal incremental expense.
The House passed this 396-5 on June 3, 2025 — sitting in the Senate.
