Sponsored by Stephanie I. Bice (R)
Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Energy relating to "Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers".
Cancels energy efficiency standards for walk-in coolers and freezers.
Tradeoff
Eliminates stricter energy-use limits for walk-in coolers, freezers, and non-display doors that were set to take effect in 2027–2028. No offset or alternative requirement replaces the standards.
